Wood be Good was founded in 2025, not in an office, but on a trip to Bali.
Allan and Tim were there with their families when the idea took shape:
The best materials do not have to come from the forest.
They already exist.
That conversation became a company. Jacob joined shortly after, bringing an engineering background and operational precision that turned an idea into a business built to scale.
Together, the three have built a business that connects hands-on knowledge of the material, direct presence in the Indonesian supply chain and the operational backbone to bring verified reclaimed hardwood reliably to architects, contractors and building centres across Europe.
Mission
Wood be Good means what it says.
We find, verify and move reclaimed hardwood so it can be trusted, specified and used. Reducing the need to cut new trees. Working directly with impact and reforestation where the wood comes from.
Our vision is simple: Reclaimed wood becomes the standard. Not an alternative.
We operate with a simple standard, reclaimed only, no virgin timber, no unverified claims. We say no more, than we say yes. If it does not meet our standard, we leave it. We document what we move, what we verify and what we do, not just what we avoid.
The wood is the reason. The good is what follows.

Allan brings deep craft knowledge and many years of experience working with wood and quality materials. That expertise is present in every sourcing decision Wood be Good makes, in knowing what good reclaimed hardwood looks like, feels like and performs like.

Tim is based in Indonesia, working directly in the supply chain, sourcing, documentation and close collaboration with local partners. He is the one who has seen the material before it moves, and the one who makes sure what we say about it is true.
